hello!

hello! sorry i've been quite lazy lately...and i was kinda internet deprived. anyway, so i hope you all celebrated yesterday (feb 7) since it was the most important day of the year. i hope you all thought about me. i celebrated it by first writing my one and only one midterm of the year, then 9 continuous hours of classes, then dinner with lots of shrimps, then chilled with my housemates who baked me a peanut butter cake. if you have absolutely no idea why feb 7 is important, you are no longer my friend.

so tomorrow is my last day in kingston. i start work again next monday, teaching science and math to little grade 9's. grade 9 is a funny grade. you see a great deal of flirting in the classroom. kids are still excited by the fact that they are now in high school not grade 8 and they are now suddenly cooler than before. so i will have 3 grade 9 classes. i'm sure there'll be lots of stories. yay!

i wish there's global warming right now (yea winter gets colder with global warming but i'm thinking about the summer time of it). i know it's bad for the environment and bad for the polar bears and all, but it's sooooo cold. i put on so many layers of clothing when i walk outside...if i put on more layers i can't zip up my jacket anymore. i put on my scarf (but the wind always finds its way to go through the little holes), gloves (which are never thick enough even if they are Thinsulate), hat (which never covers your entire ears), ear muffs (the 180s i have..always have the tendency to shift off my ears), and sooner or later i'll have to invest in one of those face masks...the ones that make you look like a criminal and make you look really scary. anyway, i just don't think humans were designed to live under -20 degrees conditions.

hm i feel like i should post some pictures, but i have absolutely no interesting pictures to show. i can post up my projects and pictures of my seminar that i did...but that's just boring. ok oh well. i am going to go bum around now. bye now!

busy busy busy.

this time of the year is probably the most stressful for me. all these applications to do, and queen's is stupid enough to give us so many assignments this month. i can't write essays (geez i studied chem and math, purposely i didn't have to write much) so it's taking me forever. why can't faculty of education just give us a job?

anyway, it's getting really cold and i miss my down jacket. that one specific one.

hmm..i guess i should keep trying to write. and read. bye now.

8:30 classes are mean.

i am so lazy when i am back in kingston. i only have one 8:30am class (on weds) and i almost died today. i had 7.5 hours of class today and by the end i was so grumpy and tired and hungry. waking up for work is so much easier than waking up to be lectured. actually maybe not...i just think i prefer my days to start at 12.

so, who wants to find me a job? wouldn't it be nice if the faculty of education finds you a job as well? all those deadlines for different school boards are coming up, and grad school deadlines are coming up too. err...i dont know what i want to do. i just want to sit at home all day, watch tv, eat ice cream.

so, since kingston is so chilled, i've got nothing else to say. here's the grossest man i have ever seen in vancouver:

vancouver was amazing. no snowstorm, barely any rain, good food, did everything a person can possibly do. and i gfinally got to see BODY WORLDS. yyayy!! thanks to eric for being such a good host, and keith for bringing me =o)

but...i'm back in kingston now. assignments and job hunting and all that fun stuff are gonna start. why can't holidays be a lot longer? boo. oh well.

so drained...

i don't think i have ever gotten off so late for xmas break, and i still have 2 more days to go. well tomorrow my class is writing their unit test, and my other class is having a party, and friday is pretty much nothing. but still. i just want practicum to be done and over with. i want to sit at home and do nothing.

anyway, nothing else is new in my life. my students are all going crazy already. i played street fighter with a student on a computer today and i lost. i also got nervous when the students told me they know what car i drive. so i threatened them by saying i'm gonna fail them in math if they do anything stupid. hehe nah my kids won't. my students are also saying i'm becoming more assertive so that's a good thing!

anyway. gotta wake up at 6:30am tomorrow and start yet another day of work. err...why do we get off on the 22nd? honestly, 20th, 21st, 22nd are all the same. the kids stopped listening since monday anyway.
